Two Iranian films ‘Today’ and ‘Inversion’ have been scheduled to appear on the silver screen in France.
The two films will be screened in different cities of France, including Paris.
Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, ‘Today’ tells the tale of a Tehran taxi driver that becomes the impromptu protector of a desperate young pregnant woman after he rushes her into hospital.
‘Inversion’, directed by Behnam Behzadi, is a quietly dramatic tale of a woman in Tehran who decides to take charge and find ways to better express herself in the smog-teeming metropolis. Its title refers to thermal inversion, a meteorological condition causing air pollution.
Both films have been received warmly in a number of countries around the world and won several awards in different international film festivals.
